Escaping Poverty -  Help je mee?

Adopt a student

We adopt children who cannot go to school because they are poor. Poverty prevents them from getting basic education or learning a trade. Schools for youth provides grants for vocational training

Vocational training for young people can help them generate income to escape poverty.
There are too many children too poor to go to school. Public elementary education in Uganda is free, but of very poor quality. Few young people move on to secondary education. This closes off opportunities for further learning and offers little hope of learning a trade.
Vocational training is not free in Uganda. For € 450 euros, a young person can go to school for a year, including mandatory uniform, books, food and lodging, if needed.

We have begun training for teenage mothers who were left on their own with no chance for further education to better their lives.

Joyce, 16 years old, is starting a one-year training for assistant teacher in kindergarten. She will then earn enough to pay for continued training herself.
